Share the Magic exists to restore wonder, hope, and belonging to children and families who have experienced trauma, disability, or adversity by creating magical experiences, supportive resources, and lasting community connections where every child is reminded they are deeply loved, valued, and worthy of their own fairy tale.

Established in loving memory of William Jones and dedicated to every child whose time on earth was far too short. Through William's legacy, we choose hope, healing, and the promise that every child is forever remembered.

A Legacy of Hope

"Every child leaves a footprint on the hearts they touch, no matter how brief their time on earth." Prince William's Heart was established by Share the Magic Foundation at in loving memory of William, the son of Shyanne Porter.

William's life was tragically cut short before he was born. His loss came during a season marked by domestic violence, unimaginable grief, and profound trauma that Shyanne Porter endured. Although William never had the opportunity to experience this world, his life continues to inspire compassion, healing, and hope for others.

Today, William's legacy reminds us that every child matters, every life has purpose, and love can continue long after loss.

Through Prince William's Heart, we honor not only William, but every child who was taken too soon, every infant whose life ended before it truly began, and every family carrying the invisible weight of grief.

Purpose

Prince William's Heart exists to transform loss into hope by providing support to children and families facing overwhelming challenges. Each year, one deserving child or family will be selected through a nomination process to receive the Prince William's Heart Award, offering assistance that creates opportunities, relieves burdens, and reminds them they are not alone.

Scholarship (Education)

The Prince William's Heart Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a young person who has overcome significant adversity, including:

Living in foster care
Surviving domestic violence
Living with disabilities
Experiencing the loss of a parent or sibling
Overcoming trauma
Demonstrating resilience, kindness, and service to others

The scholarship may be used for:

College
Trade school
Technical certifications
Vocational training
Career development

Hope Grant (Family Assistance)

Families may also be nominated for the Prince William's Heart Hope Grant, providing financial assistance for needs such as:

Adaptive equipment
Medical travel
Childcare
Housing stability
Educational needs
Special-needs resources
Emergency family assistance

Nomination Process

Rather than accepting applications directly, recipients are nominated by someone who has witnessed their strength and perseverance. / Eligible nominators may include:

CASA volunteers
Churches
Medical professionals
Domestic violence advocates
Community members

The Foundation Board reviews nominations each year and selects the recipient based on need, resilience, and the potential impact of the award.

Our mission is to restore hope and create lasting memories for children in foster care, foster and kinship families, children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities, children impacted by domestic violence, children with special needs, and grandparents who have stepped in to raise the next generation. Rather than treating these as separate causes, we recognize that many families experience more than one of these challenges. By embracing them under one mission, we create a community where every child belongs, every caregiver is supported, and no family has to walk their journey alone.

We bring this mission to life through magical experiences, practical support, and meaningful connections. From castle events and holiday celebrations to respite opportunities for caregivers, family resource programs, memorial initiatives, educational scholarships, and emergency assistance, every program is designed to restore joy while meeting real needs. Our goal at Share the Magic is to help children step into a place where they are free to dream, laugh, and simply be kids again. Beyond the castle walls, we partner with schools, churches, businesses, counselors, and community organizations to ensure families receive ongoing encouragement and support. Our goal is simple: to remind every child that their story is not defined by trauma, disability, or hardship—but by hope, resilience, and the promise that they are worthy of their own fairy tale.
